After that, maybe a half a minute to create additional templates. It takes all of about 5 minutes to read the help file and create your template for the first time. The template I created copies all the songs in my iTunes music library with my selection of the various playlists in had created within iTunes. There is a concise help file to explain the various options available, which are pretty simple to understand and apply. I have no vested interest in the PE program other than to say to Mac users that it's fast, easy, reliable, and for $4.99, dirt cheap. And since I or my wife or the kids add songs into iTunes every few days or so, keeping the SD card up to date is not the challenge it could be without the PE app. The uConnect browse feature pulls up the playlists, artists, songs and cover art / data seamlessly in my TH. Two minutes tops, excluding copy time to the SD. I like Playlist Exporter for the same reasons, it takes just a few clicks to put my iTunes library onto a SD, in any configuration I desire. I let iTunes manage all my music purchases, digital from a variety of sources or legacy from CD, simply because it is easy to use, fully configurable and it always works (one Apple ID is shared and spans all our music hardware platforms) and there is minimal time investment for updates and maintenance. If I spend no time on keeping things running, I am in bliss, but alas, I have kids and they have a special talent at discovering how things can go wrong.

I find it more cost efficient than subscribing for additional iCloud storage beyond the free allocation. I have a Macbook Air with a 256 SSD and I use my 3TB Time Capsule / Time Machine to back up my songs which I then add or delete from my iTunes Library.
